Believe

* Today was my best day so far! We had lunch with Bret, Matt, Kim,and Nicole. We are celebrating Kim's Birthday. Everyone looked happy, especially Matt. Bret is working miracles. I want to bask in those happy thoughts like forever!
* Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. . .let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

Holding on to summer

*The days are still warm. I made an arrangement in my green box of purple cosmos and gladiolas, we light a candle by them and they just glow by our bed. Simple things really are the best.
* I slept so good last night. Didn't wake up till 7:00.
* I am going Visiting teaching with Chrystal Carlson today. I want to see Pat and Heidi today too.
* Morley almost chips his teeth hiding his beer when I walk by. I wonder why he thinks I would care. He lives so alone. I wish he was Tom's friend.
* Conference is coming!
*Beneath his watchful eye,
His Saints securely dwell;
That hand which bears all nature up
Shall guard his children well."

Hushed Beauty

* I am thankful for the Sabbath
* Fresh flowers by our bed
* Sam came running through the field to walk with me this morning
* Relief Society General Meeting to fill my heart. Tender stories. I want to be a better neighbor and Visiting Teacher.

Sweet Simplicity

* The daisy was Jamie's wedding flower. They speak of happiness.
* I rode Trigger last night, it felt so good.
* Diane is coming up, hope we can spend some time together.
* We rode to the round coral in Roland's ranger. The leaves are turning yellow now.

There Has Got To Be A Morning After

* I am grateful that there is always a morning after. A new day to say thank you to. I new day to try again.
* While I was on flat bench this morning the thunder rolled and crashed, the rain poured down, but it was a warm rain. I returned home muddy and dripping but a new woman.
* I got a call from Matt last night, he sounded like he was ready for a new chance. He couldn't say enough good about Bret. Thank you Archie!
* In the temple there were four of the most excited Russian girls missionaries.I tried all my Russian on them, you know the words Kim would call down to the kitchen from the hall up stairs, after she would say,"You don't even know!" Kim you must teach me more, they would have loved you. Can't wait for the Relief Society Session on Saturday Night.
*Nothing touches the soul but leaves its impress, and thus little by little, we are fashioned into the image of all we have seen and heard, known and meditated. And if we learn to live with all that is fairest and purest and best, the love of it all will, in the end, become our life." David B Haight

Breathe

*The moon was full and so bright last night. Dad and I sat in the dark and watched a new series on TV, but we couldn't stop looking outside at the brightness of the night.
*I took Grandma to the cabin and we sat on the old swing by the creek. She talked continually of her many memories. We felt Dad close. The leaves were beautiful.
* Grady is wearing big boy pants.
* My diamond is back on my hand. I went to the Beezley's to get the prongs fixed. Andrew was there and I thought of Trent. Those two boys had such a kind and gentle spirit to them. They made our home better.
* Today I am grateful for a new day to be happy.
*"Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart by the Holy Ghost. . ." The still small voice is subtle as though the Lord was whispering in the midst of a tumult of other sounds. Lund

Sweet Simplicity

* There is a feeling that always draws me to the beach and to family. Things seem right in my mind when I imagine us there. The air is breezy and life is simpler. Feelings matter more than words. Time moves slowly. Love is in each breath.
* The geraniums are thick and lush.
*The night is warm and the stars are bright.
* I can't sleep wondering how Matt's night is.
* I want to learn more about trust and discernment.
*"The highest type of discernment is that which perceives in others and uncovers for them their better natures, the good inherent within them." Stephen L. Richards

Light

* The end of the day brings a peaceful thank you.
* When we are the saddest, we only need to wait for the light of a new morning.
* Shawn and Katy are so delightful. We all piled in Roland's Ranger and looked at the beautiful autumn leaves.
* We watched Dreamer and Katy became the little girl in the movie.
* Last night I watched Mom walk up her drive way and she looked so tired and alone, but today brought another day;she had her hair done and she looked soft and happy. I am glad that our feeling always get the gift of a new day.
* I am praying for Bret and Matt.
* "I am the light which shineth in darkness." D&C 11:11

Angels

* My bed felt so good last night!
* Flat bench is calling to me this morning.
* Kim, Lucy and Jayne came to Wallsburg. What a treat for us. Kim is always like an angel to my heart.
* Bret is helping Matt. I am so grateful to him, I love them both. Bret is our family angel at the moment. Thank you Bret!
* "then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels. . ." 2 Nephi 31:13

Milk and Honey

* Many days seem so normal but the last few have been so rich for me. Stake Conference filled an empty place in my heart. Sitting next to Tom and listening to Sister Beck, Elder Holland and Elder Packard was better than Christmas. President Holland said we should nourish our spiritual and physical health to be prepared for what lies ahead. Pray more, ponder more, call down personal revelation, bare simple and deep testimonies. We must conform our will to His. We will be safe and secure in God's love. He will pour out blessing upon us. We can become equal to the task. I felt like I went to conference empty handed and came away with milk and honey.
* We had a dinner last night for our temple shift's coordinators and their partners. Dear Brother Smedly, who I loved the first moment I met him, has given 900 patriarchal blessings. Goodness just radiates from him. Tom and Clyde Argyle checked out all of Tom's horses. Clyde is my favorite too. He has been a bishop, and a bishop at the MTC, and a temple worker. Whenever I am around him it is as good as eating toast with butter and honey. I want to learn to serve without fear, but only with love like they do.
*We moved Matt out of Bret's house yesterday, felling so discouraged about how to help him. Then Bret showed up and changed everything. We moved him back in. I have been praying for someone to come into Matt's life that could make a difference, maybe that someone is Bret. Bret I love you! Thank you.
* "Come unto me all ye ends of the earth, buy milk and honey, without money and without price." 2 Nephi 26:25

Kindness

* We had the most welcomed rain storm last night. Everything smelled so fresh this morning.
* When I came home for lunch today Tom asked me to go on a long ride together. I could hardly wait to get home. We had such fun driving around Kamas, eating big fat hambergers at the train car, and driving around quiet moutain homes. I love Tom, he is my best friend.
* Jenny and Katy are coming this Friday evening while Bret takes the boys to Father's and Son's. I want to do something fun with them. Maybe a Halloween Book?
* Fresh Peaches. . .Oh My!

* Ruth went to the rally in Washington DC , at the Lincoln Memorial, where Glen Beck spoke on Returning American to Honor. She said just before it began a flock of Canadian Geese flew in a V down low across the reflection pool . Everyone in the large crowd stood and cheered.
* Glen Beck read the Declaration On Independence pausing at "In God We Trust".
* Benjamin's face is clear.
*I keep thinking about Kim's yummy coconut pie.

For my soul delighteth

* Two little boys in blue striped shirts, stopping for just a minute, from jumping and running to read a book with me. Oh how I miss them! Thank you Jamie for taking this picture.
* We are scraping off the paint that hasn't dried on the San Salvador Temple. There was a recall on all the white paint we used. Yesterday I stood for 8 hours and mixed new paint. My bed felt so good last night.
* We rode up the street on the four wheeler to take the Miller Children for a ride and see how many stickers Benjamin has on his chart. 10 will take us to Chuckie Cheese. He is covered with sores that he can't stop scratching. The night was beautiful and cool. We sang I Believe In The Church of Jesus Christ as loud as we could. Annabell laughed the whole time.
* Sam waits for me every morning. How nice to have an always friend.
* For my souls delighteth in the scriptures, and my heart pondereth them. . . 2 Nephi 4:15

Whispering

* I love this old chest, Tom could make it.
* Matt and I had a good long hug yesterday. Boy did I need that!
* I am praying for someone to come into his life.
* The nights are crisp, good sleeping.
* Yummy Tomato Basil Soup with artichokes.
* The white paint that we used for the San Salvador Temple was recalled, it won't dry. So this morning we begin mixing new sky colors.
* "The still small voice, which whispereth through and peirceth all things, and often times maketh my bones to quake while it maketh manifest." D&C 85: 6

Sheer Joy

* Katy 's baptism was Saturday. It was good to walk in and sit in our old chapel. I loved Shawn's hug as he reached over the bench and gave me a giant love. I saw old friends, and I was so proud of Bret's family and Kim's. Bret is a good father, Nicole said the closing prayer, she is such a amazing mother. We went to Bret's for lunch and it felt so good to spend time in their home. Katy had a picture with her birthday cowboy hat on the table. I love that tender little child.
*Mom came.
*Watched the first BYU game with Tom.
* The sprinklers aren't working and I left the well water on the flowers all night, oops.
* I wish I was tending for Kelly when she goes on her trip.
*We worked at Swiss Days.
*Wished I had hugged Matt for about a week when I saw him.
* "Armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory." 1 Nephi 14:14

Love

* This picture always reminds me of the best of times. One of the magical events that came on a California night. We girls were off alone to the beach. We spread the hotel quilt on the sand and sat in a circle. We passed a burning candle around and sang " Mothers, Daughters, Sisters, We are the Believers, We will be together throughout all time." (And we Will!) Each little girl blew out the candle and told of their mother's new fairy name, and gave her a goofy fairy. We turned our backs to the ocean and tossed fudge over our shoulders to the ocean fairies and for good luck. Then Jamie lead us in the Ya Ya hip swivel and chant. Just a few brief moments, was it an illlusion or was it real?

* Tom and I chased horses at dawn to a gorgeous sunrise.

*Fresh peaches on Special K.

* A long talk at Mom's pool. Drinking in the last of summer. She is fragile. I love her.

* "The Divine love of God turns ordinary acts into extraordinary service. It transports simple words into sacred scripture, it illuminates our path and fills life with meaning and wonder."
