The Ranch

* Diane's ranch always brings back such wonderful memories.
* Mom read funny stories, we laughed especially about how to prepare for a mammogram.
* For breakfast we had oatmeal, with a piece of rhubarb pie on top, with cream and berries on top. . . I am still full.
* The ranger rides were gorgeous. We saw so many elk, and deer. The squirrels ate peanuts on the porch.
* The last morning we woke to the elk bugle. There was a big double rainbow, we wondered if Dad was near?
* Penny's little Hanna and I painted. She was adorable. She made me a bracelet.
* At David's cabin for the hunters, he has made the most amazing fire pit. Giant logs carved out for benches, one with an elk whittled with a knife on the back. Giant boulders around the fire pit. I would love to sit there at night with a smoldering fire, with my young kids again.
