Summer and White Dresses

* Today we started on the murals for San Salvador. I somehow always find myself there. We knelt on the floor and sketched. It was comfortable. I count it a privilege to work on anything for the temple.
* We had a wonderful rain.
* Liz got married to I hope a wonderful man. I made her a white rose flower arrangement. She looked so happy, I hope for her.
* Kelly is at camp, Shannon and her 5 children are there, I pray for her.
* They opened the temple this week. Back in the saddle again.
* . . . let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually. . . Alma 34:27

24th of July

* It felt so nice to have the kids here. For the parade Emilee drove Rolands ranger with kids in the back using their squirt guns.
* We came home to the most amazing sharing of Kim and Jason's stories from their trek. They were so tender. It was one of those rare heavenly moments.
* Last night Tom killed two skunks and the air is smoken this morning.
* We start a new temple this morning over at Linda's.

Cool Air

* We went to Ogden to a horse show, and the heat of the day felt so heavy. It is good to awake early and feel the cool air.
* Last night was great to be with Tom's family for a dinner for Liz. She is in love and just beams. Tom was comfortable. We all laughed and laughed.
* A dang mouse ran through my legs several times yesterday, hope he is in the trap this morning. Because of Sam we never have mice.
* We are starting on the San Salvador Temple, mixing huge caulking tubes of beautiful color.
*Tom and I teaching the Sun Beams. We saw Page and J.W. in Heber and they gave us big hugs.
* I can't sleep thinking about Matt. I must remember,"And behold, and lo, I am with you to bless you and deliver you forever."

Tenderness

* This picture speaks of tender things.
* I had the best talk on the phone with Kelly last night. Shannon may be coming to live with her. I hope her body will stay healthy. Kelly has a giving heart.
* This year is a gift to have plenty of water. Tom started the water in the fish pond. The grass is green. We change the water twice a day. I love the sound of the sprinklers.
* This morning I pushed a herd of cows across Flat Bench. They would not move to the right or the left. The mothers were bawling and the babies crying. What a racket we made.
* Today I am going to swim at the crater at the Homestead, can't wait to see what it is like.

New Birth

* Everywhere I look there is new birth, in the baby horses, wild flowers, each fresh new day.
* Tom and I are changing the water morning and night. I love sitting on the four wheeler next to him, watching the day end.
* We ride up the road at dusk and pick up the Miller children. They are so hungry for attention and love. Their Dad has moved to Orem and left them. Their Mom is way out there.
* Steve and Cindy have left for their mission, so without hard feelings we are having a family dinner for Liz, because she is getting married. I am so happy for her!
* I fought with Matt last night, I am sorry about that.

4th of July

* This looks like the perfect 4th of July cake.
* We layed with Kim's family last night at Jim and Judy's to watch the fireworks. Kim is struggling with pain in her legs. She had to teach the Relief Society lesson this morning. Hope it went well and she is feeling better. She has been in my thoughts constantly. Lucy loved the big coloring book for her birthday.
* Tom looked handsome at church today with his brown skin and red sweater vest. We are teaching the sunbeams. . . the best of the best job to be found.
* Bret's family came up and brought me the most beautiful flowers for my birthday. I think Katy wants to ride Moon Dancer. Wouldn't that be fun if she did 4-H. Dad would love it.

The Ranch

* Diane's ranch always brings back such wonderful memories.
* Mom read funny stories, we laughed especially about how to prepare for a mammogram.
* For breakfast we had oatmeal, with a piece of rhubarb pie on top, with cream and berries on top. . . I am still full.
* The ranger rides were gorgeous. We saw so many elk, and deer. The squirrels ate peanuts on the porch.
* The last morning we woke to the elk bugle. There was a big double rainbow, we wondered if Dad was near?
* Penny's little Hanna and I painted. She was adorable. She made me a bracelet.
* At David's cabin for the hunters, he has made the most amazing fire pit. Giant logs carved out for benches, one with an elk whittled with a knife on the back. Giant boulders around the fire pit. I would love to sit there at night with a smoldering fire, with my young kids again.
* There were many whose faith was so exceedingly strong, who could not be kept from within the veil. . . " Ether 12:19
